Started to weld in the passenger rear wheel well. Not thrilled with the thin replacement panels, but anything is better than rust and putty.

spring and time to get back to work again. lost winter storage for my bikes so had to get the pans out of the shed, so I had some friends help put the body back on. |

still have a lot of body work to do but, I should be able to finish the rest with the body on without too much problem ( we do what we have to do).
I had some issues with the pan bolt holes not all lining up with the captive nuts on the new heater channels and napoleons hat, but it was the cheap stamping and not as much my measurements. honestly considering how much I replaced it went back together and fit better than I had expected. overall I'm pleased with it. hopefully I will be able to finish the body work this summer and move on to the electrical. just have to wait and see how it goes. |

it looks better than the pictures show. the pans were a bit dirty from sitting out exposed for a year and then the kids walking on them in the shed but i'll clean them up when I finish the body work and give another top coat before I install sound deadening |

....wow....looking at how much you have done makes me super lazy as all I need to get my vert back on the road is rust bullet the pans and re-install the battery. Hats off to you my friend. Keep us posted as to your progress. _________________ Aloha'z and have a great day!

Meet Winnie !!
These type 1 Sunbugs are quite rare now and I think are very special.
I admire the work you are putting in to put Lloyd back on the road and I am sure it will be a very satisfying experience when you get to drive the car.
Very Best
Chris JM

Been away for a long time but was finally able to get back to work on lloyd. The front clip was hit at some point in the 80s and was never repaired. Just lots of putty and all the captive nuts were rusted out along with the entire drivers side. Nothing really to save. As always I was worried about the thinner aftermarket parts but with no good donor parts local to me and not willing to take a chance on having someone else's unk own putty filled panel shipped I went with one from cip. |

Fenders line up well and the lid closes as it should with a decent gapping

Been too long since I had a chance to do any work. I was in a bad motorcycle accident at the end of 2017 and i was laided up for a few months then had to move. Recently started back on lloyd. It's slow getting back Into it but determined to finish someday. |
