Price... $34000 is more than I have seen a really nice original Oval going for recently, which is a much more desirable car to most people.

Of all the crazy priced parts out there nowadays, I really don't think $1500 is that unreasonable for real deal NOS heart taiilights

If the complete lights are $1500, what do you think the glass pieces on top are worth?
Just curious as I think I have a pair of those stored away somewhere, NOS in the VW bag.

What does the price of a Honda have to do with the price of VW parts? I buy parts on a regular basis that total more than what my daily driver is worth. Hell, the small order into WW this morning was probably more $$ than I could get for my Honda. |

Thats true for any classic car. Try having rare splitty bus parts or any rare car with rare parts for that matter  That's the danger of owning rare cars with rare parts. Thieves will be thieves.
I personally wouldn't pay $1500, but after 60+ years of being OG never on a car? It doesn't shock me. |

Probably a '57 built, '58 model.
This would be more appropriate in the 1958-67 section imho. |
