Been riding and racing for 5ish years now.
At one point, I went crazy and bought some Hed3s, which I quickly offloaded after realizing they're terrible. However, they did make the steed look pretty intense.

Any Portland OR cyclists here? I'm up in the Seattle area. I want to come down for a few days in August to do a little riding and hit a few of the local micro breweries. I would consider an organized ride, but am more interested in what in what those with experience have to recommend. I know Portland has a good trail system and a lot of micro brews but I'm not familiar with either, like I am Seattle area options. If you want, meeting another VW enthusiast at a local pub is good too.
I'm looking for information about a good, but not fancy, hotel to say in that is near the biking trails. I'm looking to ride around from there to breweries using the trails and streets. I can easily ride 50 miles a day at a fairly relaxed pace, taking in the scenery. With your ideas on where to stay and what to visit I can map out a couple of fun days exploring Portland.
Thank you! _________________

Anyone using Osymetric chain rings? Tried them today - different but felt good. The design makes sense. Definitely going to make me sore from today's ride. Thanks to my son I got a new bike this weekend - Argon 18 Gallium pro with E-tap. Today was the first ride on the kickr. Can't wait to get it dialed in and ride outside. Looks like a good year over 800 miles so far on the Wahoo kickr. |

what did you ride before eTap? I upgraded from Red mechanical last winter and put 6200 miles on it. _________________ Glenn

2009 Scott R1 with first year red. The front derailleur was crappy so I changed it to force and it worked better. |
