They look very bad ass
Do you mind sharing what finish that is to get the dark grey look?

JWP80 - Thanks, I really like the way they came out. Unfortunately I was asked not to disclose how they were done. Sorry.

vw57drvr - They are definitely not plasi dip. I could take a pressure washer to them and I wouldn't harm them.

rusty57 - Those look good, can't wait to see then on your ride.

Finally got my wide 5 "Cosmos" fitted. They are pretty nice quality. You do have to be careful with a lug wrench. The holes are tight so the wrench rubs the finish off. This is before I fitted the caps.

The patina wheels look like clear with some color tint in it. I worked in a bodyshop back in the 90's and they used to do that.

Both wheels and center caps are anodized...You can see they have a slight difference to the shade as they are not made for the exact specs alloy...

Dupli-color is making a paint called shadow black, basically a clear coat with a black tint. you could get a similar effect to it. maybe with a semi gloss topcoat.
I doubt you could get it exactly like it, but for a few bucks you could try it out for a while. seems to wipe off with lacquer thinner just fine.

very nice looking wheel finish

rusty57 - I've seen some pictures of your ride with the wheels on, when you going to post them up for everyone to see?

By the way I think they look nice and you got a clean ride.

Just curious about caps on these Cosmo (cosmic) wheels. LOVE the Porsche look and hope someone can steer me in the right direction...

I mounted stock tires on cosmics for my 67 ghia and it was a no go. No clearance in the rear of the car. The top of the wheel well opening was hitting the sidewall of the tire about half way up the tire. Bummer...lots of money spent, now I need to come up with something different. Why can't wheel manufacturers just make rims narrower??
