Hey guys, first post here.
I have an interest in VW's but don't really have the bank balance to be buying one.
Nevertheless, I came across this unusual VW hub cap with what I believe is an 'EMPI spinner' attached to it?
I was hoping people here could shed some light on it and EMPI more generally, assuming I am right?

Looks like an old JC Whitney add on to me. Empi back in those days was too cool for such a noise maker. JC Whitney, however, had bolt ons allowing one to devalue their car from nearly every angle.
