I bought all 3/8" air hose fittings to replace the 1/4" size for shooting paint, and I realized that the little red round 'last chance' water filters that I've been attaching right before the gun - has a very small air passage, like 1/4" or less. I've been getting them at Harbor Freight and they don't carry larger ones. Is this common to use with everything else being 3/8" ? BTW - I have a wall mounted filter/gauge.. the kind you drain from the bottom. Are those enough to forgo the little round ones? note: I have a 50ft hose between compressor and wall filter, then a 25ft from wall filter to my gun.

Oh ok - good to know. I don't remember seeing them on displayed but they probably would have them. I'll stop and check, thanks.

Always use them. Always.
I have used the red ones from HF in a pinch. They work fine. I don't know how well they are made so I always get the more expensive ones when I am shooting color and clear.
Cheap insurance. |
