Will the 356 generator pulley align properly on a 36hp engine with the stock generator and crank pulley? I would like to have the extra cooling from the smaller 356 generator pulley.

The 356 pulley will make the fan run slower = less cooling

I thought the generator pulley on a 356 was 95 mm and the stock 36hp is 100 mm. A smaller generator pulley would make the fan spin faster.

Hi - Yes it will - the new belt size I am using is a 10 x 875 - (metric)

My set up is 6V dyno body (converted to 12V) with the "Big Nut" 356/912 pulley.

just updated picture on my previous post, showing a 900x10 belt.

I had some trouble adjusting carb linkage, it does hit the gen, and thats a 90mm 12V.
