Cheers,

How does the spec of the WebCam compare to the WW cams? Do you know what carbs will be run on the single port engine?

Thanks for posting.

Hi Richard,

The specs. for the Web-Cam 86-5 36hp camshaft are as follows: .325 X 242* @ .050

Specs. for the W. West camshaft 36hp are as follows: .345 X 227* @ .050

The owner is going to use a single modified 28 PCI SOLEX carburetor.

I have built several engines of this type where the owner wants to have a "stock" appearing engine but
built to 1300cc specs. with stroker crankshaft and performance 36hp camshaft. Very popular!

Cheers. Mr. Okrasa Cool

On this build, I had to clearance some webbing and also the bottom of the cylinders. In this photo below, you can see
where some webbing was removed in order to clear the 74mm stroke "B" crankshaft. Cheers Amigos! Cool

Hmm... I wonder, maybe a 24mm venturi and re-jet? Would love to know how this combo works out. I'm still struggling with my engine build choice...

On the 1300cc singleport 36'er, it will be "trial & error" as far as jet/venturi sizing. The 1300cc W.West and 1500cc W.West D.P. engines,
I have reworked the carbs and install proper venturis and jets. Cheers Amigos! Cool

Hello Joe. Very nice, as usual when it comes from your hand.

One question though, In your mind, what is the advantage with the Web 86+5 over say the 119?, they are numberwise very close, but I take it that you are after a specific behaviure.

Thanks.

Torben. Thanks for the kind words about my work........

Lori at Web-Cam and I talked on the phone many times about camshaft selection and application for my customers 36'er and she suggested that
the cam 86-5 would be best for my customers needs. #119 never came up during our discussion though......Cheers. Mr. Okrasa Cool
