I have a 73 std bug and a set of Shelby cal 500 slotted mags, 5.5" with 3" back space. Looking for some thoughts on what I would need to do to use these rims with 205/65 rear and maybe a 195 or 185 front? I would like to lower the whole car about 1", just enough that it looks stock but "better". Will I need a narrow beam and new rear fenders?
Looking at it now, I am not sure they would work even with narrow tires at stock ride height.

idk about those rims, but I am going to try to get some smoothie for my rims.

I am looking at 185/60/15x5.5" front and 205/60/15x5.5" rears.
I have 2.5" drop spindles and a 2" narrowed beam.

Currently all my stock rims ar 4.5"wide and i put used tires on my bug from used tires shops. so far nothing hits or rubs right now. idk if anything will hit when i get my new rims that are 5.5" and tires with actual tread on them
