Anyone tried the Interco Bogger? Street legal, paddle-like, desert durable. I had some on a truck once.

Depends what for.

It would be a fantastic tire for a woods buggy, but I'v never seen a V-lug or similar kind of tread design that didn't dig a hole to china at our local dunes.

I'm running a 30x 9.5 BFG all terrain. i have short torsions but it looks like there is still plenty of room left. The BFG's only measure 28.5 " i think my rims are 8 " wide.

Thanks, I am looking at the Yokohama Geolanders in 30x9.5, gonna go that size all around so I can have a spare that fits anywhere. Just need to work out which wheels to get.

Great thread!

Does anybody know what tyres is/was on the Steve MqQueen buggy as pictured below?

And - does anybody reproduce them and/or make something like them?

Thanks in forehand!

Well changed my mind, went with Dunlop Mud Rovers, 30x9.5R15 got a set of 5 coming. The geolanders were directional and just didnt want to mess with that since I will be driving a lot so rotating tires will need to be done alot.

The ones above appear to be goodyear tires. I checked their site and it doesn't look like they make anything close to that anymore. I dunno.

They have similar looks to General Grabber though.

The tires on the Baja Boot are GoodYears. They were used from what I remember on off hi-way construction vehicles. They cam in several sizes. I remember my Dad have a pair of them. They were made with Rayon cord. I don't remember how they work in the dirt or sand.
I do remember they weigh more than other tires as compared to Armstrong street legal floatation tires.

I need new tires for the front of my baja squareback. The old ones are 195/75 r15 Goodyear Wranglers but they don't make them anymore and I can't find anything else this size either. The 195's rub a bit at full lock so I don't wanna go any bigger although I do have some wheel spacers that I could install. Any recommendations on a similar tire? It is used primarily on the road but I do want keep that chunky, off road look and will be using it off road once in a while.

Scored some new never used Mickey Thompson Mini Mag tires at a the Michigan Buggy Builders show and swap meet. Nice looking tires. Surprisingly not all that heavy for their size.

Depends on a lot of factors...

We are running BFG 33x10.50R15's mounted 15x7 PRT wheels at all four corners.

What is the best place to buy wheels? I am looking for a cheap set of 15x7 0r 15x8 4 lug wheels to put on for when I am not in the sand. they need to be high offset so that they will clear my shocks. I am currently running stock arms with shocks mounted to the top of the arm over the bearing.
