April 1952 Cabriolet, 4th to the last split made. Mechanically dialed in, gets used quite often. Very original. Not a trailer queen, but fun to drive!!!

Drew,
That's a lovely car. I remember my 52 coupe still wish I had it and my brothers 51 split screen coupe should never have been sold either. So nice that your car is still used.
Looks like a Telefunken radio or is my memory fading? _________________ Roy

This is Fast Frieda, my 63 356B Coupe. Her engine was rebuilt in 2003 by Duane Spencer at Shasta, with 1720cc and rebuilt Zeniths (Shasta). She has an outboard Shasta oil filter and a super cam and 912 crank. She is a real stump puller. I have owned her since 1995. I autocross her once a year at the Richmond Porsche Meet (RPM) here in Virginia--I am the only 356 that has auto crossed in the 16 annual RPMs--she is quite quick for a 356B. Frieda just turned 50 this month.

Here`s Ruby...
She`s a 1959 1600 Super. Original ruby red colour, although I do have a letter from a previous owner, telling of the time he sprayed her purple on his driveway one evening in the 70`s
And sprayed her back the next week.
That, and the weld tree he made from the broken crank, brake drums, pistons and bent rods. She`s been a champion hill climber in her time.
These days she has a freshened engine (note please the golden pie dish. ) and she wears her years well.
There`s something about these cars... No, I`m serious. I`ve not put my finger on it yet but there`s something very German about them.
I know what you`re thinking... But.
There`s something intrinsically gothic about these cars that predates them by hundreds of years.... and I`m intrigued... Strange as it may sound, these cars feel at home driving flat out through forests, they like forest air...
It`s late, I have to sleep... Here`s our lovely car....
Regards, Mike. _________________ http://tinyurl.com/6ac8p2g

It's not mine, but Mom's:
1965 C in Champagne Yellow
She's had it since 1968; bought it from the original owner. She daily drove it up until the early '80s. _________________ ~Kamz

Nice metalwork, you've got an appropriate handle... but that's a T6. _________________ Russ

This picture was taken after I last painted it in 1981. I've owned it since 1973. It is a real mongrel, with a 912 engine and a 741 transmission. I made the mistake of driving it in the rain, as my main driver, between 1981 and 2004, which resulted in, or worsened, its rust problems. Presently I've got it completely stripped in my shop and am doing the metal work myself. Lots of fun!
I'm planning to repaint it in its original color, slate grey, with a red interior.

William,
That color combo will look fantastic when it's done! One of my favorites.

+1 Doc to William... absolutely terrific color combination, sophisticated and restrained. I have a '67 911S currently black on black, but Slate was the OG color. Seriously thinking about switching the interior to red when it eventually gets repainted. _________________ Russ
