Fueling up yesterday in a customer car , a young fellow approached me and asked " What kind of car is that?" A 1964 Porsche I said." A 995? 992?" No, a 356. "Cool"

I'm glad he didn't see my flip phone. I'd have to explain who Captain Kirk was

My friend daily drives a '74 Ghia Vert and is always being approached by young fellow's who would ask why does your car have the VW emblem on the front!!

Or my other favorite: "That can't be a Porsche." Yeah, you're right, I'm just the owner, I don't know anything about it...

My wife always reminds me that before we met in the late 60s, she used to see me tooling around in my white Karmann Ghia. Well, it was my '59 356 Coupe, she learned the difference very quickly. :)
