Looks a lot better then shoveling. In 4 1/2 minutes he was farther then I was in an hour on my driveway.

Last snow took 2 hours for both driveways. A third of that was people wondering what the hell I was driving and where did I get it. Was fun watching people getting their asses kicked with their snow blowers.

Very cool toy, Chad. It's all about the right tools isn't it? For us, it's the Honda ATV, and the Kubota for the really deep stuff. My neighbor, down the way, does most of the road, so I mainly have the driveway and road in front of the house to do. The ATV makes it sorta fun.

I want to take a minute to thank Cook for his help yesterday. He got my pan ready for paint, did some welding (a lot of welding actually) and made it look easy. I'm very happy. Thanks Chad.

I started painting the pan last weekend, then spilled a quart of Masterseries all over the driveway. I plan on finishing it this weekend.

lookin great!!! I hope to get started soon removing the body from my super vert. Got to replace the frame head :(

swhitcomb Thu Apr 16, 2015 8:13 am

This frame head had some rust in it. We patched it and replaced it with parts of another frame head from a front clip I bought cheap.

StephenDerek Mon Apr 20, 2015 3:47 pm

has anyone removed the body from a Super Beetle Vert? I have a 1979 Super that needs a new frame head....... I also want to replace heater channels and prob napoleons hat

swhitcomb Mon Apr 20, 2015 6:10 pm

I've done 2 Supers. One Vert, and one sedan. Replacing a frame head is not easy. How bad is yours? Do you have pics? Might be better to patch it.

swhitcomb Tue Apr 21, 2015 3:37 am

Search user name "beetlenut" in the gallery. He has quite a few pics of the repairs on his Super.

I have been neglecting the Ghia so much that the inspection expired in November and I didn't realize it until Cook and I went to Hagerstown last Saturday.

ChadCook Thu Apr 23, 2015 12:21 pm

At least your not abusing it with the bench grinder this time

swhitcomb Thu Apr 23, 2015 3:36 pm

Yeah. The bench grinder has been on the floor ever since.
