Hi,
Superb info but I would be happy to get two more measurements just for confirmation as the height from center of enginelid is a bit unsure due to the complex curvature in the rear.
Could anyone be able to give the X and Y measurements in the picture below? (The shortest measure possible from center of each light to the rounded corner of enginelid.)

Finally getting around to fixing my tail lights after all these years! I was able to locate the original bolt holes and 1 bulb-shaft hole on each side by looking on the inside of the rear panel. On my car ('53) the X = 295mm and Y = 264mm. I'd say that's +- 2mm on each side.
