Finally got it to fit after modifying by loosening bolts that hold blade sections to center piece, then removing the guards and their retaining bolts. Pushed blade ends outward until it measured 59.25" from inside of blade end to end. Tightened center section bolts carefully while not letting blades draw back in (maintain 59.25" spread). Re-drilled bolt holes for guards since they now were off due to pushing the blades outward, then reinstall guards.
Blade end-to-body nut plates are at the wrong angle, so I drilled out the nut and inserted a rivet nut at the correct angle, secured w/ JB weld. Seems to be holding - these are more for stability of the blade ends rather than holding significant weight it seems. Time will tell. |
