The car is painted and we are fixin to reassemble it and in that process I found something cool. A rubber insulator that fits in the steering wheel nut for the horn button wire. Not only is that cool but if you look real close you can see the kdf logo in it too. Even the gas line grommets have the same cogwheel logo in them.

Here is the shell of my 47 fresh out of the oven painted L32 dark blue. The gloss is correct for this car because it is a late 11/47 build after the factory switched to the lacquor based paint that brought the gloss way up.

The 47 is painted and assembly is getting lined up. Here is a shot of my one headlight lens, you can see the eyebrow as this style lens is referred to. It has the VW logo at 6 o:clock with no other markings. I think it is a Hella, anybody have one of these laying around they do not need???
