Luggage area panel behind back seat Price: $75 or $100
|
This ad is for the luggage panel behind the back seat.
There were four versions
- 55-63/ small hatch bus no spare tire in back (usually bench seat)
- 55-63/ small hatch with spare tire in back (usually walk-through)
- 64-67/ big hatch bus, no spare tire in back (usually bench seat)
- 64-67 big hatch with spare tire in back. (usually walk-through)
(The buses with spare tire in back need a cut out for the spare tire. Most spare tire in back buses are walk-through, but a few bench seat buses also have a second place for spare tire in back.)
Let me know which you want!
The price is $75 when ordered with the Uber-Kombi set
The price is $100 when ordered alone.
These prices has the panel painted in commercial grey with grey tape at the front edge.
Painted to match an microbus interior in mesh grey, como green for a turkis bus, basalt grey, caramel for a mango bus, etc is also available, as a special order.
Colours other than commercial grey are not kept in stock.
I don't always have all versions in stock, actually.
Please let me know your zip code if you are interested in having this shipped to you.
Dimensions of box for 64-67 luggage panel is 60"x34"x2"
Shipping a one piece long panel in the same box barely affects the shipping cost.
I can deliver to an upcoming California show, if you pre-order with enough time for it to be ready.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The standard microbuses came with a millboard panel above the engine, behind the back seat. This panel came originally only in the standard microbuses (type 22).
Deluxes had carpet.
Kombis and panels were bare. This was available for a kombis and panels as special order, not standard equipment.
You can install it in any model, to help quiet down the bus.
------------------------------------------------------
When installing this, remove the back rest of the back seat.
Have the panel square with the bus with the drivers side resting on the bottom of the backseat, and lift the passenger side up slightly. Slide it straight back keeping it square with the bus, then drop it down once it clears the gas filler bump.
It is very tricky to install if it is angled sideways, but easy if you keep it square with the bus, and the passenger side slightly lifted. :)
The panel is predrilled for screws in the og locations. Use 10( or 8 depending on version) normal interior panel screws with trim washers, not included.
There are also three holes next to the spare tire area for spare tire in back version... they get snaps screwed on for a microbus. The standard micro-bus came with a vinyl cover that matches the interior, it snaps in place over the spare tire.
